BSA Boy Scout “Kit Carson” set Western knife & Plumb Hatchet (axe)

This is an Official Boy Scout Kit Carson set. It contains a Western fixed blade knife with embossed with the BSA First Class Emblem. And a  Plumb hatchet (axe) stamped Plumb as well as the BSA First Class Emblem. Both hatchet and knife show minimal wear. The leather sheath is intact with no missing stitches or holes, has Boy Scout Emblem on both the hatchet and knife strap snap closures.

This is set is in overall exceptional condition. The permabond National pattern Plumb hatchet retains the majority of its original paint and remnants of the factory sticker.  The iconic Plumb red handle has zero cracks with just basic signs of use.  The Western Knife Company fixed blade knife is completely intact. Not tipped, gouged  nor showing signs of erratic sharpening.

The Plumb hatchet is 12-1/2” overall. The head is 5-1/4” in length and 3-1/4” width. It weighs 1 lb. and 9 oz.
The Western knife is 8-5/8” overall with a 4-1/2” blade and weighs 4.3 oz.
