Charming little vintage seashell sailing ship, handmade from an assortment of natural shells, wood and thread.

This whimsical miniature features multiple seashells arranged to resemble the sails of an old sailing ship, complete with tiny wooden masts and spars, red thread rigging and little flags. The entire ship rests on a shell pedestal base.

It has that wonderful handmade quality often found in vintage coastal and tourist souvenirs. Because these pieces were assembled from natural materials, no two are quite alike.

And this one is tiny! A U.S. quarter is shown in the photos for scale. Despite its petite size, there is an impressive amount of detail in the rigging and construction.
