Vintage Brass Souvenir Dishes Lot Mayflower II Plymouth MA & 1901 Charleston Exposition Collectibles

$26.25 $35.00

Wonderful pair of vintage brass souvenir dishes featuring two pieces of American history.

The larger round dish features a raised image of the Mayflower II surrounded by the words “MAYFLOWER II – PLYMOUTH, MASS.” The heavy brass construction and relief ship design make it a great piece of New England and maritime memorabilia.

The smaller ornate dish commemorates the South Carolina Interstate & West Indian Exposition, held in Charleston from 1901–1902. The center features an intricately detailed image of a woman carrying a large basket of produce, surrounded by the exposition name and dates. The elaborate floral and scrollwork border gives this piece a beautiful Victorian/Edwardian appearance.

The pieces have developed wonderful natural patina, oxidation and surface wear over time. They have not been polished, preserving their aged character.

Perfect for a collector of World's Fair memorabilia, Mayflower or Plymouth history, New England souvenirs, Charleston history, maritime collectibles or antique brass.
