Antique Dazey Flower Holder Metal Cage Flower Frog Pat 1580216 Vintage Floral Arranging Tool

Wonderful antique metal flower frog / flower holder made by the Dazey Flower Holder Co. of New York.

This substantial little floral arranging tool features an open metal cage design that allowed flower stems to be positioned and held securely when creating arrangements. The rounded base measures approximately 4 inches across, based on the photos.

The rim is marked:

DAZEY FLOWER HOLDER CO. N.Y.
PAT. 1,580,216

It has fantastic age and character, with an naturally weathered surface showing oxidation, discoloration, remnants of old green finish, and rust. I have left it exactly as found rather than attempting to clean or restore it.

Today, antique flower frogs like this are collectible not only as vintage floral tools but also as charming pieces of primitive, farmhouse, garden, or industrial decor. It would look wonderful displayed with other antique gardening or florist items.
