Vintage Dr. Brophy’s Word Jar Outrageous Opinions Pottery Jar Cork Lid Signed Dave 1990s

Wonderful vintage Dr. Brophy’s Word Jar featuring the humorous phrase “OUTRAGEOUS OPINIONS” around the front.

This hand-thrown pottery jar has a rustic cream-colored body with warm terracotta lettering and a beautiful burgundy, purple and blue glazed rim. It is topped with a large natural cork stopper, giving it a wonderfully earthy studio-pottery look.

The bottom is impressed “DAVE.”

Dr. Brophy’s collectible Word Jars were produced with all sorts of clever and whimsical sayings, making them fun pieces to collect and display. Examples from this line can be found dated throughout the 1980s and 1990s, including 1981, 1991 and 1997 pieces.
